Illustrative Sharpcraft damascus knife collection artwork

Illustrative collection artwork.

A handle changes the character of a knife. Colour, shape and material all contribute to its appearance, while dimensions and contours affect how it fits your hand. A good enquiry describes both the look you want and the way you expect to use it.

Collect a small visual reference

Choose one or two images and explain which details appeal to you. Perhaps you like a warm wood tone, a pale handle or a particular contour. Mark the relevant detail instead of assuming the whole reference is the specification.

Ask about the actual material

Confirm the material available for your order and ask how it should be maintained. Natural materials may vary in grain, colour and markings; the final piece may not look identical to another photograph.

Describe shape as well as colour

Include the handle length or overall length you prefer, and explain whether there is an existing knife you find comfortable. If a certain contour is important, include a labelled sketch or a close-up reference.

Review the whole design

Look at the handle together with the blade, guard, spacers and sheath. A custom quotation should make clear which details are included. Use our custom order enquiry to share your preferences before materials and timing are confirmed.
