How to Brief Your Custom Knife Order

Illustrative collection artwork.
A clear design brief turns an idea into a useful conversation. You do not need a finished technical drawing to ask about a custom knife. A photo, a few measurements and a description of what matters to you are enough to begin.
Start with purpose
Tell us whether the piece is intended for kitchen use, outdoor tasks, display or a gift. Explain what you like about your reference image: the blade outline, handle shape, colours or sheath. A reference communicates a direction; the final specification still needs to be agreed.
Make dimensions unambiguous
Provide blade length and overall length separately, and state whether you are measuring in inches, centimetres or millimetres. Include a sketch with labels if possible. If a measurement is flexible, say so rather than guessing an exact number.
List the details that affect the quote
Share your preferred blade and handle materials, quantity, sheath requirements and any engraving text. Tell us the delivery country and any date you hope to meet. Our team must confirm material availability, price and lead time before you commit.
Review before confirming
Check the agreed dimensions, spelling, materials and included accessories together. Sending an enquiry is the first step, rather than an automatic order. Keep the confirmed specification so you can refer to the same details throughout the process.
